A little bemused at the five star reviews!

Firstly, let me say, that for the price I paid with a discount, I did not expect this swing seat to be of the highest caliber or quality. That being said, given that it is a swing seat I would've expected the seat to be at least comfortable to sit on! The backrest area leaves you sitting in a practically upright position with your feet not able to properly swing, and there is no ability to adjust the seating to a more reclined manner. At the moment, I have left the backrest fully down in the laying... Therefore, I do not recommend this swing seat if you are looking for a comfortable reclining swing, and have therefore given a score of three stars.

On to the more positive! The shipping speed was excellent and the two packages arrived fully intact. All the pieces were present and correct, and undamaged. Five stars for that! I gave Customer Service four stars, as I have had no further contact with Aosom at this stage, and do not intend to pay the price for dismantling and returning the two large boxes under their 30 day return policy, as it is not damaged or broken.

I cannot state to the longevity of the swing seat, as I have only just received and erected the product in my back yard, and we are currently in March 2023. I can say that the metal bars seem robust enough to take our families weight and it seems well put together, other than my issues with already mentioned seat back. The cushion cover is very cheap material, which was expected, and the two 'so-called' cushions have been discarded straight away, as they are next to useless. Hopefully the upper cover will stand up to any wind, but in my experience, that is the thing that tends to go first!

I purchased a large black swing seat patio cover from Amazon, to go over and protect the whole swing seat, whilst we are still in uncertain weather! Having had a day after putting the swing seat together and thinking about a possible solution to the seat back being to upright, I'm thinking on drilling holes further back on the seat frame and buying some similar bolts to try and fix this issue, otherwise it will be a shame if I have to just leave it as a swing bed! I believe that this is a more honest review of the swing seat. Had the seat back been better thought out, this would've bumped my rating much higher.
