Major flaw

I just put this unit together and that part was fairly easy. However, after I filled it, I discovered that there is not enough room between the front and back sections for it to close while filled! The other thing I found very annoying is that the mirror protector plastic seems to be adhered on and took forever to remove. Then after finally removing it, it left residue all over the mirror that I can’t remove with window cleaner. Both of these things make me want to return the unit and find another....
