A natural wood version is available from the manufacturer.
It was pretty straightforward to assemble and sturdy. Comfort is ok. I wish that we had known about the natural wood version which is available for less money.

I've purchased many Outsunny/Aosom products and always been extremely satisfied -- high quality, long lasting, and great prices. Unfortunately this bench arrived damaged to the point where it couldn't be repaired. I tried to put it together anyway to see if it was worth getting another one, but the parts were mislabeled, hardware was missing, and I couldn't line up the holes because on some of the pieces there weren't any. I'm sure this could be a very nice bench, but this one somehow slipped through...
