Step 1: Attach the Leg Panels (D) to the Seat Panel (A)

- Lay the Seat Panel (A) flat on your working surface.
- Position both Leg Panels (D) at each end of the seat, making sure the pre-drilled holes align.
- Secure each leg to the seat using 6 × Wood Screws G (M3.5×40).
- Do not fully tighten the screws yet, leave them slightly loose to allow for alignment in later steps.
Step 2: Attach the Backrest Support Frames (C) to the Seat Base (B)

- Turn the bench frame upside down to expose the underside.
- Position the Backrest Support Frames (C) on each side, aligning them with the pre-drilled holes on the Seat Base (B).
- Insert 4 × Hex Bolts F (M6×70) through the support frames and into the seat base.
- Add the matching nuts and tighten them lightly, do not fully tighten until the full structure is assembled.
Step 3: Install the Side Braces (E) to Support the Backrest Frames

- Position both Side Braces (E) so they connect between the center support and each backrest frame.
- Align the pre-drilled holes on the braces with the holes on the middle seat support and the backrest support frames.
- Secure each brace using 4 × Wood Screws G (M3.5×40), two in the center and one on each side.
- Tighten the screws firmly once everything is aligned properly.
Step 4: Attach the Backrest Panel (B) to the Backrest Frames ©

- Position the Backrest Panel (B) against the two Backrest Frames (C), making sure the pre-drilled holes align correctly.
- Insert 4 × Hex Bolts F (M6×70) through the holes in the frames and into the backrest panel.

FAQs
1. Why does my bench creak when someone sits on it, and how can I fix it?
Creaking is usually caused by slight movement between wooden joints or bolts that have settled after initial use. Loosen each bolt slightly, realign the frame, and then re-tighten all screws and bolts evenly. Applying a small amount of wood-safe lubricant or wax between rubbing wood surfaces can also reduce noise.
2. Is it safe to place the bench directly on grass or soil?
You can place the bench on grass or soil, but long-term exposure to moisture may reduce the wood’s lifespan. For best durability, position the bench on a patio, deck, pavers, or a levelled outdoor mat to prevent moisture absorption.
3. What should I do if one leg feels slightly shorter or the bench rocks on the ground?
First, move the bench to a different spot to check if it’s the ground, not the bench. If it still rocks, loosen the screws on the affected leg frame, adjust the alignment, and re-tighten. For minor unevenness caused by outdoor flooring, use a small furniture pad or shim under the shorter leg to stabilize the bench.
