  • Insert each wooden dowel straight into the pre-drilled holes along the edges of the shelf panel.
  • Push the dowels in firmly by hand until they sit securely inside the holes.
  • Make sure all dowels are evenly inserted and remain perpendicular to the panel edges.
  • Double-check that no dowel is loose or angled before proceeding to the next step.

Step 2: Prepare the Long and Short Side Rails

Screwing cam bolts into long and short wooden rails.
  • Identify the Long Side Rails (4) and Short Side Rails (5) and place them flat on a clean surface as shown.
  • Insert Ø6×30 Wooden Dowels (A) into the pre-drilled holes of each Short Side Rail (5), ensuring they are pushed in straight.
  • Insert Cam Connector Bolts (B) into the designated holes on each Long Side Rail (4).
  • Make sure the heads of the cam connector bolts face upward and align correctly with future cam-lock positions.
  • Repeat this process so that both long rails and both short rails are prepared identically.
  • Check that all dowels and bolts are fully seated and properly aligned before moving to the next step.

FAQs

1. Why won’t the cam locks turn fully during assembly?

This usually happens when the cam connector bolt is not aligned correctly with the cam lock. Loosen the parts slightly, realign the panels, and try again. Forcing the cam can damage the fitting.

2. How can I prevent the tempered glass from rattling after assembly?

A slight rattle is often caused by uneven frame alignment rather than the glass itself. Check that the tabletop frame is fully tightened and sitting square. Once aligned, the glass should rest securely without movement.

3. What should be done if the table rocks on the floor?

Uneven flooring is the most common cause of wobbling after assembly. Move the table slightly to find a level spot and retighten all cam locks evenly. Avoid using shims until all joints are properly secured.
